blizzard economics

Nothing left on the shelves except the $5+ per dozen Organic Free Range eggs on the morning of the Christmas Blizzard of 2009

Observations....

1. The demand for milk & eggs is directly proportional to the predicted amount of snowfall.

2. No one will spend $5.49 for a dozen eggs, even on the morning of a major snow storm.

So funny. People need their french toast in the snow!

I was always puzzled at the amount of milk bought just before storms in NC! If the electricity fails and so forth..
