Ashley, 5 Years (8.20.2009)Today is the fifth anniversary of the hit and run death of Ashley Nickerson on Street Road in Bensalem, Pa. This is one of the first memorials I ever photographed, and I have returned to it numerous times. It is always different every time I see it.

This is Amy Nickerson Ashleys big sister. It feels good to know that although she is gone her memory still carries on in everyone she ever knew and in the hearts and thoughts of people like you.Her memorial is one of the many ways we keep her memory alive.We try to keep up on it as best as we can thank you for noticing and for helping us keep her memory alive.
Hi Amy- I have been working on a photography project about memorials for several years now. Ashley's memorial has been very meaningful, mostly because of the continued activity and the notes written on the back.
I have given several lectures about memorials and Ashley's has always been a prominent part of the lecture.
